MANHART MH5 900E (based on the BMW G91 M5 Touring)
The current-generation G91 BMW M5 Touring fascinatingly combines two worlds that, at first glance, could hardly be more different – thereby setting new standards in the high-performance vehicle segment: Thanks to its state-of-the-art plug-in hybrid powertrain with an impressive 727 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque, the top-of-the-range model is already on a par with thoroughbred supercars in terms of performance ‘straight from the factory’. At the same time, the M5 Touring impresses with its unrivalled everyday practicality and the spaciousness of an elegant estate body, which cuts a fine figure at all times, even in upmarket business settings.
But for us, this is where the real transformation begins: through comprehensive performance and design optimisation, the tuner takes the vehicle to a whole new level. The result is the MH5 900E Touring: a powerful machine that not only impresses with significantly increased power, but also makes a striking statement with a customised look that is characteristic of the brand.
To achieve this enormous power increase, the hybrid powertrain’s 4.4-litre S68 V8 is upgraded with our MANHART turbo upgrade and the proven MHtronik powerbox. As a result, the entire system now generates a mighty 910 hp and 1,200 Nm of maximum torque! Acoustically and visually, our MANHART stainless steel exhaust system with valve control impressively underlines this claim. Combined with four matt black 115 mm tailpipes, it ensures a powerful presence and an emotive sound. The system is connected via MANHART Race downpipes – however, these do not have TÜV approval and are therefore intended exclusively for export.
To further enhance the driving dynamics of the MH5 900E and give the Touring a lower, more aggressive stance on the road, we at MANHART offer two different upgrade options: as part of the MANHART chassis optimisation, customers can choose between MANHART lowering springs by H&R or our MANHART Variant 4 coil-over suspension by KW Suspensions. The braking system on the vehicle presented remains as standard, though individually configured upgrades are available on request.
The M5, on which the MH5 900 E is based, already has an exceptionally muscular appearance straight from the factory. Consequently, when refining the bodywork’s appearance, we were able to limit ourselves to our characteristic in-house decal set featuring trim strips and brand and model lettering. At the same time, this brings the new wheels – the absolute highlight – even more into focus: for the MH5 900E Touring, the choice includes the silk-matt black MANHART Concave One in 10.5x21-inch and 11.5x22-inch sizes with 285/35 and 305/30 tyres. As an even more exclusive high-end option, there are also our MANHART Concave One Forged in 10.5x22-inch for the front and 11.5x22-inch for the rear axle, fitted with tyres in sizes 295/30ZR22 and 315/30ZR22. The rim colour can be individually configured on request.
Last but not least, we at MANHART automotive also added some personalised touches to the interior of the MH5 900E Touring – with embroidered floor mats and an Alcantara headliner.
